I N T R O D U C I N G
THE AUDUBON BALLROOM
ONE NIGHT ONLY
THE AUDUBONO ONO
ACT I SCENE VI
NARRATOR: The Jacksons have lived in that area for decades and know a lot of people there. Here is what other members of the community were saying about me when I was trying to fundraise for legal fees on Facebook.
3/20/2021
NARRATOR: It felt like I was getting politically smeared from defamatory statements. And it was clear where it was coming from. The people commenting were located in the local area, but also originally from the same locations where the people who opposed me were from. New York and Key West.

NARRATOR: There are two, possibly more, instances where Patricia and the Jacksons were inconsistent about. First, she was holding on to the car keys to my mom’s car, and had the car parked in her driveway. One day, she gave a reason for why she would not return the vehicle and the keys. The following day, her reason changed completely.

PATRICIA: She has a urinary tract infection (UTI), she’s in pain. So, you’re riding on a bicycle, I’m driving a car, so I was telling you, I’ll get her the medicine, so she can get her medicine in her body, and get that infection taken care of in her body. So that’s why I was telling you, let me take the medicine.
THE BABY: That’s good.
PATRICIA: And, cause you was on the bicycle, but you got here the same time, so it’s not a big deal.
THE BABY: It is kind of a big deal, the way it’s worded. If she’s in pain, so again, when we talk about…
PATRICIA: Because…
THE BABY: When we talk about the mobility of the car…
PATRICIA: [intangible] urinary tract infection as a female.
THE BABY: If she’s ever in pain, if she’s ever in pain, does she need to call 911 and get an ambulance fee or something?
PATRICIA: No, she’s already been to the doctor.
THE BABY: So, good. So, what about the mobility option, where if she had to go get a urine test, what about that part? About the whole car staying at Ibis Court, and her medical needs. If you care about her medical needs, what about her transportation in case of emergency now that I’m here?
PATRICIA: [silence]
THE BABY: Ok, good, you don’t have to answer it, it’s fine.
PATRICIA: Iman…
THE BABY: So, good, we can move forward in her best interest…
PATRICIA: Her car has to be repaired…
THE BABY: It’s good that she got her…
PATRICIA: Her car has to be repaired.
THE BABY: It’s good that she got the medicine.
PATRICIA: Ok, and, she has to get her car repaired, so her car is inoperable for you to go transport her without a valid driver’s license in the state of Florida.
THE BABY: It’s not inoperable, it’s not inoperable, it’s not inoperable.
PATRICIA: It’s illegal and you’ll go to jail if you’re stopped without a license.
THE BABY: No I won’t.
PATRICIA: Ok.
THE BABY: In an emergency situation, in an emergency situation?
PATRICIA: I don’t know. They don’t, they not…
THE BABY: I do know, and I know that in an emergency situation, in an emergency…
PATRICIA: I’m married to a police legal advisor that manages the law, the police in this area, and you will go to jail without a license.
THE BABY: In an emergency situation, you will not.
PATRICIA: No, it’s no emergency.
THE BABY: It is. Ma, in an emergency situation…
PATRICIA: She, cause they have Uber, the have Lyft, they have transportation.
THE BABY: See, she’s overtalking, I’ll calm down.
PATRICIA: No, that’s the, that’s the facts.
THE BABY: I’ll calm down.
PATRICIA: There’s transportation to go to the doctor when you’re elderly in Florida, in Palm Coast.
THE BABY: So, what happens if you’re, if you’re speeding, what happens when you’re speeding, and an officer pulls you over, and he finds out that the person in the car is in labor. Do they give you a speeding ticket or do they help go to the hospital?
PATRICIA: Jamal, ok, I’m just telling you.
THE BABY: Mhmmm.

ANCHOR (WWLP): New tonight, a State Trooper is being hailed as a hero, after escorting a mother in labor to Mercy Hospital. Yesterday, Trooper Jose Cabrera stopped a vehicle on 91 South and West Springfield for going over 100 miles an hour. The driver immediately told Cabrera the situation, his girlfriend was in labor and her water just broke. Trooper Cabrera requested an ambulance only to learn that there were none nearby. So, thinking quickly, he decided to escort the woman to the hospital in his cruiser, with the father-to-be following behind. The mother safely made it to the hospital, and a short time later delivered a healthy baby boy.

PATRICIA: You wanted to know why I asked for the medicine, because she needed her medicine.
THE BABY: But I love how vocal you are once you know that my license is invalid, I love how vocal you are about it. So, that’s good.
PATRICIA: You’re recording, so you want to know why you don’t have the vehicle, to go get her medicine and take her around, because you don’t have a valid driver’s license.
THE BABY: But you didn’t say that yesterday.
PATRICIA: And you’ll go to jail.
THE BABY: But you didn’t say it yesterday, that wasn’t a reason to not have the car, seems like that’s changing too, the reason to not have the car. You just found out about the license thing. So, what’s the real reason why, so we don’t even have to go into that, but it’s ok.
PATRICIA: I talked to Iman.
THE BABY: The license thing is recent.
PATRICIA: I talked to Iman…
THE BABY: Ok.
PATRICIA: Yesterday…
THE BABY: Great.
PATRICIA: After I talked to you.
THE BABY: Great. And?
PATRICIA: [silence] Ok, alright.
THE BABY: So, one of things that Iman, so if Iman’s handling stuff, one of the tings before is that Iman doesn’t want to say…
PATRICIA: Why are you upset with me?
THE BABY: I’m not upset. I’m really not upset.
NARRATOR: You can see the day before, she claimed to be holding on to the car because of mental health concerns. Then the following day, after I disclose to Patricia that my driver’s license was suspended, she aggressively starts commenting on my suspended license and emphasizes that I will go to jail over it. Notice how she does not mention anything about any type of mental health concerns. She claims the car is inoperable, which is false. There is only a minor dent in the door. They received the vehicle in October 2020, and stalled to get it repaired until late-December 2020. Lastly, Patricia keeps using accusatory language like ‘resistant’, ‘fighting everybody’, ‘you’re upset’, ‘sick’, ‘illness’, ‘on drugs’; practically anything to try to persuade my mom with her pastoral influence, and maybe even try to convince me that her misinformation is true.
